Absolute perfection. Hands down the best Japanese dining experience in Pattaya. If you want high-end food paired with an incredible, moody atmosphere, Ronin completely delivers. The design of the place feels exclusive and tucked away, but the food is what really steals the show. A few massive standouts from our meal: The black charcoal tempura: Super unique presentation and incredibly light and crispy without being greasy. The Wagyu hot plate: Melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly marbled, and served sizzling. The grilled Hamachi Kama (fish collar): Perfectly grilled with crispy skin and juicy, rich meat. The grilled Unagi: Incredibly flavorful and glazed to perfection. The details: Everything from the fresh sushi and salmon tartare served over ice to the matcha cocktail with the gold leaf on the ice sphere showed how much care they put into presentation. Khun Sugar, and all staff service was sharp, attentive, and paced perfectly. It is absolutely worth every baht. If you are looking for a special night out, do not skip this place. 10/10.

I've been here several times. The food is a bit inconsistent, sometimes it's delicious and sometimes it's not. However, the atmosphere is amazing with great vibes giving off a very luxurious feel in Pattaya. There’s also parking available right opposite the restaurant.

Found out about this place through a friend. The atmosphere looks so nice and reminds me of places in Bangkok. The greeting staff and service staff were amazing. The staff were kind which made us feel very comfortable. Every menu we got was very good. Big portions. They also have very nice cocktails and japanese liquor selections. It can be pricey but you truly get what you pay for. Would 100% recommend!

I think we’ve visited this place with family and friends more than 30 times. We’ve also celebrated birthdays here and gathered for special occasions. There is a separate parking area. The atmosphere is definitely one of the main highlights of this place. I absolutely love the interior of this restaurant. Natural materials are beautifully emphasized by the furniture design and lighting, and the music is subtle and pleasant. The staff are polite and friendly. You can judge the presentation of the dishes from my photos. Before the main course, they serve a complimentary appetizer. One of the biggest advantages is the selection of non-alcoholic cocktails that are actually delicious. These are not your typical Sprite-based mojitos or basic piña coladas, but truly well-balanced and unique flavors. My favorite is Otsu. I can’t recommend just one specific dish because everything is вкусно—it’s best to choose based on your preferences. However, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the salmon cheese roll. The soy sauce has a perfect balance of flavor, and the wasabi is genuinely good, not just the usual powdered kind. As for the pricing: yes, this place is more expensive than many regular spots. For example, if you compare Haru (an all-you-can-eat buffet) and Ronin, the difference is obvious. Both offer fresh food, but I can assure you that Ronin has some of the best sashimi and the most premium-quality fish, along with the atmosphere—so the price is justified. I’ve never had better or fresher tuna and sea urchin roe anywhere else. They also occasionally offer discounts on selected items. A small note for improvement: it’s not the first time guests have mentioned that it would be nice to have a few more dessert options besides ice cream. Yes, the charcoal ice cream is unique and great, but sometimes you just want something sweet—even something simple like mochi

The vibe of this sushi place is truly unique for Pattaya. The architecture, garden, interior design and tableware are beautifully thought through and create a very calm, Japanese-inspired atmosphere. It’s obvious that a lot of effort and care went into the overall concept, and that deserves recognition. I’m not writing this review to bash the place or the people behind it. The main issue is the value for money. I ordered salmon nigiri, which is one of the more affordable items on the menu. One piece costs around 150 THB including tax and service, which is, quite frankly, extremely expensive. I have eaten the exact same dish in other restaurants in Pattaya for roughly half the price and with noticeably better quality. I’m deliberately not naming other restaurants, as that would be unfair. But this is not a case of comparing apples to oranges. It’s the same type of sushi, and the price difference is hard to justify. The quality itself is okay, but nothing more than that. The salmon is neatly cut and well presented, but flavor-wise it’s not particularly good or memorable, and certainly not at a level that would justify these prices. In summary: A visually stunning place with a strong concept and beautiful atmosphere. But at this price point, the food quality would need to be significantly better. As it stands, it’s an experience that impresses visually, but disappoints on the plate.
