Yítóng Chinese Restaurant & Sky Bar

Locsted in Melia hotel, One of the nicest bar/restaurants i have ever been to, the service from waiters and waitresses was really good, and the drinks are made really well. Ordered a mixture of food, but most of it came out really cold. However, the staff handled it really well and made sure it came back hot to eat. Overall most of the food was tasty, but the noodles tasted like jelly.
Yítóng Chinese Restaurant & Sky Bar was one of the highlights of our trip. The rooftop atmosphere is beautiful, especially in the evening with the city views and relaxing ambiance. It has the perfect balance between elegant dining and a laid-back rooftop vibe. The food was impressive; authentic flavors, well-presented dishes, and great quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, and the cocktails paired perfectly with the experience. Service was also excellent throughout the night. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Whether you’re coming for dinner, drinks, or just the view, this place is definitely worth visiting.
We went on a Sunday at noon expecting a crowd of people waiting. The website says it's open at 12:00. When we got there, we were the only people eating. At the end of our meal (1 hour later), 2 more couples showed up. The dim sum is nothing to write about. The steamed hargow has dry skin at the edges. The only thing that is decent is the shrimp on tofu wrapper. The rest is not worth my time writing. The service is excellent and friendly. The dim sum buffet is not worth it.
The Peking duck was the highlight of the meal, crispy skin and flavorful meat. If roast pork were available, the menu would feel more complete. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, suitable for a special occasion. However, the menu is only available in Chinese and English with very small text, which made ordering a bit challenging, so we relied on staff recommendations. The additional dishes were decent but not particularly memorable. Overall, the pricing felt reasonable, with the total bill coming to around 5,000+ THB. Best suited for those specifically visiting for the Peking duck. The pancakes were soft and paired very well with the Peking duck.
Truly an exceptional restaurant and one I keep coming back to—I’ve visited three times now, for sunset cocktails, a Peking duck dinner, and the dim sum buffet, and every experience has been wonderful. The setting is very upscale with beautiful decor, a relaxed and stylish atmosphere, and a stunning sea view that’s especially perfect at sunset. Service is consistently fantastic—professional, attentive, and polished. The food is outstanding. From the perfectly prepared Peking duck (the chef carves in front of us) to the excellent dim sum selection (weekend dim sum buffet offers even double-boiled soup 老火湯 and much more), the quality and execution are top-tier. This isn’t just one of the best Chinese restaurants in Pattaya (or even Bangkok), it’s genuinely one of the best restaurants in Pattaya overall. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a beautiful setting. Given the quality of the food, service, and setting, it also represents excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
