This charming restaurant comes well recommended as an excellent place to try the exotic tastes of Thai food. The seafood dishes are also very good, and you can select a crab, some shrimps, or ev en a shark from the tanks close to the entrance.
The Ventiane has a traditional Thai ambience and is built entirely of wood, with the restaurant being on stilts above a small lake. The lake is covered with floating lotus and is populated by families of duck.
To our way of thinking the best tables are at the furthest end of the hall right next to the pond, where you can catch a slight breeze and the best view of the night sky.
The chefs here are not only expert at the preparation of Thai delicacies but they produce a menu containing, Vietnamese, Lao,Issan,Chinese and western dishes too.
We recommend the
Thai Massaman curry or their Tom Tam Gung which are both excellent.
