Had an outstanding dining experience at Harlan’s tonight. Can’t speak highly enough of the service, atmosphere and the incredible food! The best piece of beef I’ve had in Thailand. I will be back every time I’m in Pattaya!
Wow, what can I say about this place. Ive been to a lot of high quality steaks restaurants, but I think ive found a new favourite. Everything was cooked to perfection, staff are so attentive and the atmosphere is nicely laid back. I finished with the chocolate brownie swimming in chocolate sauce. Simply fabulous 👌 The picture say it all. I'll most certainly be back.
It's low season right now, so getting a reservation was easy. I visited with a friend and was immediately impressed by the restaurant's intimate atmosphere, excellent service, and spotless presentation. The appetizers were very good, especially the Espresso Mushroom Soup with porcini and truffle, and one of the best Whiskey Sours I've had in Thailand. For the main courses, I ordered the Beef Wellington, while my friend chose the Wagyu Ribeye. The Beef Wellington looked stunning and was plated beautifully. The fillet itself was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the mushroom and foie gras filling was excellent. Unfortunately, the pastry underneath was completely undercooked—actually raw in some parts—which significantly hurt the overall experience. It's disappointing to see such a fundamental mistake in a dish that is often considered a benchmark of fine dining. The Wagyu Ribeye had a similar issue. While the quality of the beef seemed good, it was simply too fatty. Wagyu should be rich and melt in your mouth, but this felt more like eating pure fat after a few bites. The steak appeared heavily saturated with rendered fat, making it enjoyable at first but increasingly difficult to eat. As it cooled, the fat became even heavier, and my friend ended up leaving about half of it on the plate. For reference, this was Australian Wagyu, not Japanese Wagyu. Ironically, the standout dish of the evening was the creamed spinach with Parmesan and garlic—absolutely fantastic and one of the best I've ever had. Overall, this restaurant starts strong with great service, atmosphere, cocktails, and appetizers. However, when both main courses disappoint, it's hard to ignore. Would I return? Yes, but I would definitely skip both the Wagyu and the Beef Wellington next time. The bill came to around 5,700 THB for two people. Expensive by Thai standards, but reasonable for a fine dining experience.
I followed the online hype and it did NOT disappoint! Absolute banger of a steakhouse. 🥩🔥 Kept seeing this place all over my feed, so I just had to check it out. Man, I’m so glad I did! Easily one of my new favorite steak spots. The quality of the meat and ingredients is top-notch. The chef cooked my steak to absolute perfection—juicy, flavorful, and totally worth every single money. What really made the night, though, was the staff. They were incredibly nice, super friendly, and just had great vibes all around. It made the whole dining experience feel so warm and comfortable. If you’re a steak lover looking for a killer meal, you gotta try this place. I’m definitely coming back for around! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a sublime experience, the food and drinks were absolutely divine, sweet and lovely staff with an excellent presence. The overall atmosphere was amazing. 10/10 would recommend, will for sure come back!
