Mini Siam was started as a research project in 1985, and construction started in 1986 with more 11 Acres of land which was separated as Mini Siam, and Mini Europe.The remaining area contains shops, cafes, and a parking lot.
The Democracy Monument in Bangkok was the first model to build. The area is now complete with many international features, wich include the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Taj Mahal and even Sydney Opera House.
Our team visited this attraction in April 2012. It is quite interesting during daylight, but we would recommend visiting at nighttime. The lighting is superb, and it is cooler too.
Mini-Siam has been around for a long time. It is a really fun place to see. Be careful when taking photographs as you may end up with the Sidney harbor bridge within a few feet of Tower Bridge!
