Description

Located about 1.5 hours from Bangkok, the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary provides a peaceful home for rescued elephants with a strict no-riding, no-chains, no-performance policy. Visitors change into traditional Mo Hom clothing before meeting the elephants, which roam freely, forage, and bathe naturally while knowledgeable guides share stories and conservation information.

The experience involves hand-feeding the elephants, walking through forest trails alongside them, and observing their social behavior. You may also join the elephants in the water during their bathing time, watch them roll in mud to cool off, and then relax in shaded seating areas overlooking the surrounding mountains. A freshly prepared Ancient Pad Thai lunch made with local ingredients is provided.

Transportation options include hotel pick-up from Bangkok, Pattaya, or nearby areas, or meeting at Wat That Thong or directly at the sanctuary. Choose from two daily sessions: morning (07:00–14:30) or afternoon (11:00–18:30).
