I was only here for a week pleasant stay even upgraded my room staff were really nice The lower and upper pools were lovely and well maintained plenty of lie lows so no fighting over them lol. Food was ok lots to choose from cakes hmmmm delicious. The only thing that let it down was more or less the same everyday. It’s right in the middle of everything you can’t go wrong. And believe it or not all the music playing I never heard anything in my room. I wasn’t expecting much for what I paid but I was surprised and happy at the hotel
This hotel is in an excellent location especially for walking to the Beach Road and Central mall. We parked in the basement, which was somewhat dark and smelly but once we parked, we did not need our car again. The check-in and check-out processes with the front desk were smooth and easy. Note that there's a 500 Baht deposit due at check-in. We requested a quiet room and got one. The room itself was a good size and comfortable. Amenities were provided including toiletries, an in-room safe and a fridge with a mini-bar. The TV had lots of local and international channels. The A/C worked well. The hot shower was good but the drain was slow. The room key was an actual old school key as opposed to a key card and since the door knob was always locked and didn't turn, everytime the door was pulled shut by guests it made a loud bang. Although there was only one elevator for the hotel, it moved quickly and we didn't have to wait long. They advertise two pools on the top floor but we only saw one. Though a bit small for all the guests, it looked clean with nice chairs. There are refreshments up there too. On the lobby level, there's a salon with massages and other treatments. Outside the hotel there is a Flipper Bar. The breakfast buffet was good with a lot of variety -- both Western and Asian. If you're looking to be in the thick of it but stay at a nice quiet hotel, this is the place for you.
I felt threatened before ever arriving here. The day before I was due to arrive I received an email saying they would cancel my booking as I hadn't paid, this was despite the fact that the arrangement through Hotels.com stipulated that I would pay on arrival. When I did arrive the next day I was immediately asked for full payment and a cash security deposit, no welcome! The room was fine, it's location was very good, close to the beach, bars and restaurants. The breakfast and pool too were quite good, but the overall first impressions left a sour taste for my 2 night stay.
I’ve stayed at Flipper House Hotel five times already and always enjoy coming back. The location is right in the center of the city, so it’s perfect if you like being close to everything. If you prefer complete peace and quiet, this might not be the best choice, as the area is lively. There are many restaurants, supermarkets, and local food markets nearby, and it’s very easy to enjoy traditional Thai massages in the area. The hotel also has two swimming pools, where there is usually space to relax, as well as a bar. The staff are friendly and provide nice service. A good place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Pattaya and close to everything. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
