Popular restaurant with so many tables. It’s full at lunchtime on a weekday. Great food. Nice atmosphere for local restaurant by the water. Totally recommend!
Every time I come to Sriracha, I have dinner at this restaurant because I stay at a nearby hotel. Last night, at around 9:00 p.m., I came here for dinner again. I was sitting at a table on the beach, close to the sea because I like the beautiful sea view. But the wind was unexpectedly strong last nige. When I had just been seated at my table , the table next to me had just been vacated, and staffs cleaned it. However, about 40 minutes later, for some reason I don't know, another male staff came back to clean the same table again. He used a spray bottle to apply table cleaner. Because the sea breeze was very strong, the cleaning spray was blown directly onto my food and into my face. The table next to mine was about two meters away. My friendsa I was dining with had their backs to that table, so the cleaning spray did not blow onto their faces. My eyes immediately started stinging, so I quickly went to the restaurant's restroom to wash my face. After washing, my eyes still had a burning sensation, so I returned to my hotel immediately and thoroughly rinsed my eyes in the shower. After showering my right eye was still red and itchy. After that, I send message to my friends who were still in restaurant to talk to the restaurant manager and find out what brand of cleaning product had been used. I also requested a photo of the product label showing its ingredients because ChatGPT advised me that if the cleaner contained harmful substances I should go to the hospital immediately for an eye examination. Unfortunately, the restaurant manager said that the staff member had already off duty and they could not provide a photo of cleaner label. The manager told me that the product was made by Ecolab and apologized for the incident. When I woke up this morning, my eyes felt better but were still a little itchy. This was a very unpleasant dining experience. I hope the restaurant will improve staff training since the tables are located right on the beach, strong sea breezes are common. Staff should take this into account and avoid spraying cleaning products when the wind could blow them onto customers or their food. I didn't take any photos during my dinner last night. The photos I'm sharing were taken during previous visits to this restaurant. I usually order the same dishes and sit at one of the tables on the beach, so these photos accurately show the dining area where the incident happened.
Great local seafood dishes. Perch, shrimp and vegetables dishes are a must combo. Great view at the ocean side. Night time there no reservation but should be enough seating. Enjoy that view and sea breeze. Note: prize may be lower if no alcohol is purchased
Had a nice meal at Mum Aroi. The grilled prawns and deep-fried seabass were definitely the highlights—fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. The crispy pork with kale was also enjoyable. The garlic squid was just okay, nothing special, and drinks were average. Overall, good seafood spot with a nice atmosphere, especially for family dining.
I thought Mum Aroi was a great choice for lunch; The views of the water from the terraces were lovely and there was a nice breeze to keep cool. I ordered the Spicy Seafood Salad, which I can clearly state has been one of the best I’ve had in Thailand, I’ve been living in Chonburi for 3years and travel extensively in Thailand. The portion size was exceptional, it could have been more spicy 🌶️, I did ask for Phet Mak but as a farang I think they softened the chilli. I prefer HOT 🔥 it was a delicious salad 20/10 Dessert was green mango with a sweet chilli dipping sauce, 7/10 imo. Only so much green mango (crunchy) you can handle.
