Sattahip

The Sattahip area lies on the eastern coast immediately south of Pattaya. The town and it's surrounding area are important due to the large Royal Thai Navy base here, and Utapao Airport, as well as many attractions in the surrounding countryside.

The land between Pattaya and Sattahip is largely a flat plain. To the right side of the Sukhumvit highway there are some nice beaches and resorts, as well as the fishing ports at Ban Napur and Ban Saray. To the left of the highway there is mainly agricultural land leading off towards the famous landmark of Khao Chee Chan.

Between Pattaya and Sattahip

There are some interesting attractions outside Pattaya City limits in the southernly direction. These include Nong Nooch, Wat Yan, Vian Sian, and Silver Lake..For the persistent traveller there are also many Navy owned beaches and islands that can be visited and even a Navy Golf Course.
