Description

Step into the heart of Thai culture with this immersive day trip just outside of Bangkok. Yes, it’s touristy nowadays, but the markets still show the traditional ways of selling goods from boats and along railway tracks. This tour combines local charm, vibrant markets, and unforgettable sights. Your adventure begins with a scenic ride on a local train through the countryside. Watch rural life pass by as you head toward one of Thailand’s most extraordinary markets. As you arrive at the Maeklong Railway Market, you’ll stay aboard the train and ride straight through the middle of the market itself. Just moments before the train rolls in, vendors pull back their umbrellas and goods, revealing the tracks below. It's a thrilling and rare spectacle that has to be seen to be believed. From there, you'll head to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, one of Thailand’s most colorful and lively destinations. Aboard a traditional longtail boat, you’ll cruise through the narrow canals, not only exploring the market but also passing by quiet local villages and everyday scenes of canal-side life. Along the way, you’ll see boats piled high with fresh tropical fruit, street food, souvenirs, and handmade goods. This tour is the perfect mix of culture, excitement, and authentic Thai life. Book now and enjoy a truly unique journey through two of Thailand’s most iconic destinations. Throughout the trip, a fully licensed, English-speaking guide will be there to share insights and answer your questions. Plus, an AUDIO GUIDE IS AVAILABLE IN 28 LANGUAGES via QR-code (please bring your own mobile device and headphones), so you can enjoy the experience in the language you’re most comfortable with.

Important Information

  • TOUR GUIDE SPEAKS ENGLISH ONLY but we have AUDIO GUIDE IN 28 LANGUAGES available for everyone via qr-code and you can listen from your phone. These destinations are very touristy due to the unique highlight of the train passing through the train market and vibrant vendors selling goods from boats. Please be aware that traffic in Bangkok can be very busy, so plan to arrive at the meeting point with extra time. It’s essential to be on time at the meeting point, as the tour will begin as scheduled and cannot wait for late arrivals. Guests who miss the tour due to lateness are not eligible for a refund. We advise not booking if you have a flight on the same day. Cash is highly recommended since most stalls charge a 5% fee for card payments. As Thailand can be very hot, bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, an umbrella, or a small fan for comfort. If you start at 6:30 AM, you will return around 2:30–3:00PM. If you start at 8:30–9:00 AM, you will return about 4:30–5:00PM, depending on traffic.
